Nearly forty years after Studio 54 opened its doors to party hungry movie, music and fashion stars, it remains the most famous nightclub America has ever known. This month, Swedish photojournalist Hasse Persson stunned the public with a collection of photographs that bear first-hand witness to the hedonism he captured on film between 1977 and 1980.
