Take a break from the noise: 7 Adriatic islands without cars

What makes the Croatian Adriatic especially unique are its many islands. According to the Croatian Hydrographic Institute, there are approximately 1,246 of them, and each one has its own story.

There are only seven inhabited islands that cannot be reached by car, as they are easy prohibited. These islands are a true refuge for all lovers of peaceful holidays, hiking and cycling.

Union Island

Unije is part of the Cres-Lošinj archipelago and is also the largest of the archipelago surrounding Lošinj. Cars do not travel to this island because the streets are too narrow. Since 1996, there has been a small airport on the island.
