Talented photographer Oleg Oprisco swears by analog and rejects artificial

Oleg Oprisco is a Ukrainian artist whose magical, dreamlike photographs inspire and enchant. In an age ruled by digital manipulation, Oprisco's work is like a breath of fresh air, as he eschews the artificial in producing such otherworldly photographs.

Yes, you read that right. Instead of programs, with which nowadays we can conjure up many things in an instant, the talented photographer swears by analogue. With a lot of love for details and a generous amount of imagination, he carefully and thoughtfully creates surreal scenographies that always work as if from the most beautiful dreams. He does not use a digital camera when capturing photos, but is devoted to analog technology and film. To the extent that he plays with the photo editor, he only corrects contrasts and colors and corrects some errors such as dust and spurious spots. Photo: Oleg Oprisco What impresses us most about Oleg's work is the scenography, which the artist prepares for several days. The concept, costuming, location scouting, make-up and preparation of realistic props – artificial butterflies, huge books and giant matches – take days of preparation. Each photo has a selected color palette and carefully prepared scenography.

In the gallery, let's take a look at photos that are hard to believe are not the result of digital manipulation.
