Just as we remember them from our childhood, our children will be able to remember them now too. The new Tamagotchis still want to be our best friend and we must take care of them as best we can.
In the flood of mobile applications, among which we also find Tamagotchi and its ilk, a refreshed and renewed Tamagotchi has returned to the shelves in some parts of the world, which needs to be cared for as a virtual best friend should.
The new Tamagotchi that the company of the same name presented at international toy fair in America, gives children the opportunity to raise a healthy adult from a virtual toddler. It sounds like a popular computer game The Sims. Tamagotchi Friends she is no longer a pet, but a kind of virtual person who wants us to serve her in everything. We feed her, bathe her, make sure she goes to the toilet and in the evening she falls asleep tired from a hard day.
In the 17 years since it launched this hugely popular toy in the 1990s, the company has sold more than 80 million products. The essence of Tamagotchi has been nurturing and caring for a virtual pet since the very beginning, but "managing" a virtual human for the company, as they say, means progress.
At first glance, the device looks exactly like models from ten or twenty years ago. The hardware and retro graphics remain similar, but some new technicalities have been added. Although the device does not (yet) have the possibility of a wireless Wi-Fi connection, special sensors allow us to connect with new virtual friends by touching another Tamagotchi, exchange virtual gifts and messages with them, and even play or have a picnic in a virtual park. If we pay enough attention to our virtual friend and play games with him, we will earn some virtual trinkets with which we can go shopping together in the virtual store. We just have to be careful not to be too wasteful and raise a real spoiled brat.
Tamagotchi is neither the first nor the last toy presented at the aforementioned toy fair. Among them we can find everything bizarre and truly unusual, which you can see in the video below, and we also recently presented it to you charming weird animals.
