The founder of Tesla, Elon Musk, claims that SpaceX's upcoming Tesla Roadster will have so much power that it will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.1 seconds.
Second generation Tesla Roadster was presented three years ago, and should see serial production this year. Only that has not happened yet, and its first models are expected to enter the 2022 model year. One of the upcoming "road rockets" is located in the Peterson car museum and is accompanied by a very interesting note. Next to the car is the indication that the Tesla Roadster, which is equipped with the package, can be used SpaceX, from 0 to 96 km/h, shoots into the mere 1.1 seconds.
Yes, with the SpaceX rocket thruster option package. It will be safe, but very intense. Probably not wise for those with a medical condition – same as a hardcore roller coaster.

He also confirmed the claim via Twitter Elon Musk and specifically emphasized that this is only possible by choosing the “SpaceX” package. The Tesla Roadster is said to use cold air for this package "reactive" thrust, and the nozzles are supposed to hide behind the license plate. Without the aforementioned system, the Roadster is said to need 0 to 96 km/h 1.9 seconds, which still represents extremely fast acceleration.
Among other things, Musk made some other promises and claims, which makes the arrival of the Roadster all the more anticipated. According to the information, it should be a battery with a capacity 250 kWh, big enough, for up to 998 km a long way, but we'll be able to go all the way to speed 402 km/h. In this regard, the Roadster should have just 10,000 Nm of torque and accelerated to 160 km/h in everything 4.2 seconds. That alone represents acceleration that only a handful of road cars can manage when accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h! Of course, such performances will not be cheap. The basic version is said to cost 200.000 US dollars, while the Founder Series version, which is limited to just 1,000 units, will cost 250.000 US dollars.
