The Batman (2021) is one of the most anticipated films from the DC universe. And here is the first "teaser" trailer for the film.
As expected, crime is spreading like the plague in Gotham City and some evil force is trying to get to Batman. The story of the film takes place about two years after Bruce Wayne transformed into Batman, during the period when he was still only a masked vigilante. Film director Matt Reeves (Planet of the Apes) points out that here Batman is not yet Batman, and yet "there are people who fear him". Which is perhaps the most surprising portrayal of Bruce Wayne, who this time does not look like a charming "playboy" - Pattinson's Bruce is a bit more heartless, a bit more "goth".

In the "teaser" trailer, we can see or hear some of the main characters, among them James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright), Catwoman (Zoe Kravitz) and Alfred (Andy Serkis). Reeves also points out here that even some of these characters haven't really become who they are yet. Selina Kyle is not yet Catwoman, but also Ugankar (The Riddler) and Pingvin (The Penguin) are still very early in their criminal careers.
The premiere of the film was originally announced for June 21, 2021, but due to the pandemic, which interrupted filming, it was postponed to October 1, 2021.
