Best Smartphones 2020: These Are the Smartphones We're Eagerly Waiting For!

Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra

Did you put off buying a new smartphone in 2019 and rather wait to see what 2020 brings? Once again, the choices will be plentiful, and here are the best smartphones of 2020 that we can't wait for!

Thanks to the people who tirelessly reveal behind-the-scenes information from smartphone manufacturers, we know about almost every phone that will see the light of day this year. We also know that this year we will receive more devices whose the screen will be foldable, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Fold phone. But it will certainly be the most popular trend increasing the number of cameras. In addition to the usual ultra-wide, main and telephoto cameras, we will get at least one more. We can't even avoid the fact that more and more phones will offer communication with technology 5G.

So let's see what 2020 will bring in the world of smartphones.

The best smartphones of 2020

Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra

Among the first, as every year, Samsung presents its premium Galaxy S devices. According to online sources, they will be numerically called the S20 and not the S11, although one could argue otherwise based on the launch date. Three devices are on the horizon, all of which should support 5G by default. The differences in the guts between the devices will be minimal, i.e. different sizes of screens and batteries.

It seems that Samsung will be playing around with the cameras a lot. According to rumors, they will use a camera with a resolution, among other things 108MP and a periscope telephoto camera (similar to the Huawei P30 Pro), which should reach 100x digital zoom. All three devices will have a screen hole for the selfie camera, but it will be smaller. It is also possible to implement a 3D face scanner (similar to Apple's Face ID). The price for the top model, i.e. the Samsung S20 Ultra, is said to start at 1,349 euros.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip

It is very likely that Samsung will introduce a new family of phones in which only those with a bendable screen can be found. It will join the Galaxy Fold Galaxy Z Flip, which this time will open in the opposite direction and resemble the Motorola Razr 2019.

Sony Xperia 5 Plus

Sony has caused a lot of confusion when it comes to naming its smartphones in recent years. Last year, however, he "officially" decided that the models with the number 1 will be premium 4K phones, the models with the number 5 will be regular premium phones and the models with the number 10 will be phones from the middle price range. Okay, so be it. Well, it looks like the Xperia 5 Plus is just around the corner, which will keep Sony's display in proportion 21:9. This one will have slightly thinner edges and will be nicer when watching video content. But it will be quite high in normal posture. The screen should be just 6.6-inch.

LG G9 Thinq

February will certainly be a very interesting and eventful month for telephony lovers. LG will also show off its muscles, and how desirable the device will be G9 Thinq, will have to wait a little longer. Currently, it looks like the phone will have a similar design to that of the G8, thanks to the new processors Snapdragon 865 and the G9 will be able to support 5G technology. LG has obviously paid a lot more attention to the cameras on the back this year.

Huawei P40 and P40 Pro

More than Huawei, last year's skirmish between the US and China saddened the Europeans, who took their phones and interface as their own and planned for their next phone to be Huawei. But this is not possible, because he still has a lot of customers in his native land. A new one P40 and P40 Pro will be presented in Paris, and their main attributes will be five cameras that will be adorned with the Leica label. The main camera should have a resolution of 64MP. Currently, rumors also suggest that the screen will have holes for a selfie camera, similar to the one on the Galaxy S10+.

Huawei Mate XS

Last year, it was the Galaxy Fold and the Mate X that fought for the throne of the best folding phone (not to mention the Royole FlexPai). In the end, the Mate X kind of faltered, and all eyes were on its rival. Maybe this year will be different, since Huawei has already prepared an improved version with the name Mate XS. This one should have a more durable bend and a high-quality screen, which can also be produced more cheaply than before. Does this also mean a lower price? We remind you that the Mate X cost 2,299 euros when it was released.

iPhone SE 2

Spring 2020 (?)

After the extraordinary success of the SE model, users have been eagerly awaiting an upgrade for several years that will be cheaper than the rest of Apple's range, but will still offer an authentic Apple experience. The media reports the good news that the production of the long-awaited phone is about to begin iPhone SE 2 started in February, and it should hit the shelves this spring. The phone is rumored to be packaged in an iPhone 8 case, so it will still offer the good old fashioned a physical button for TouchID.

OnePlus 8, 8 Pro and 8 Lite

April 2020

The new phones from OnePlus will receive less innovation, at least judging by the current information. Their otherwise attractive design will be reminiscent of Samsung phones, boasting both a hole in the screen for the selfie camera and a curved display. They will be waiting for us at the back 3 standard cameras. The 8 Pro is rumored to use a display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Then there's the model 8 Liters. This one will probably fill the space that all the OnePlus phones used to reign over (before they got more expensive). It will be about an affordable smartphone, which will not exaggerate the speed of operation, but should still offer communication with 5G technology.

Nokia 9.2 PureView

According to rumors, Nokia will update the 9 PureView model, which is best known for the seven holes on the back (5 of them are cameras that together capture one photo). Because it's supposed to be new Nokia 9.2 had Snapdragon 865 processor, the processing of captured JPEG photos will be much faster than before, and the improved cameras will very likely produce even better results (the RAW footage was really good on the Nokia 9 PureView).

Apple iPhone 12 (11S?)

September 2020

Apple has usually reserved the transition to new numbers (without the “s” suffix) to introduce a new design, and with the arrival of the iPhone 11 last year, it slightly confused users. Will this be the first "s" iPhone to change its design? The current one is already three years old and urgently needs updating. Therefore, this year we hope to at least reduce the "notch" or even remove it. We predict that he will gain this year as well support for 5G technology (it is already steadily expanding across the pond).

These are smartphones 2020, which we know will hit the shelves, but their descriptions and specifications are currently just a matter of rumors and therefore unreliable.
