Attention all, all fans of blues music and the cult film The Blues Brothers! A great stage production from London is coming to Ljubljana, which will make us laugh to tears and prepare our limbs to enjoy and dance throughout the entire show. The show, which is actually a concert in miniature, comes to us from the famous London West End. Excellent actors, singers, musicians, dance choreographies and costume design are thus provided. The birth of the phenomenon The Blues Brothers occurred in the late seventies and early eighties on the cult show, which is still broadcast today, Saturday Night Live. The black hat, black suit and sunglasses were first worn by the unfortunately deceased John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd. They breathed life into the singer Joliet Jake Blues, brilliantly portrayed by Belushi, and Elwood Blues, a harmonica player, portrayed by Aykroyd. The Blues Brothers grew up in an orphanage, where they were introduced to the blues music genre by the orphanage's caretaker. The boys fall in love with this genre of music and when they grow up, they are on a "God-given" mission to spread blues music among the people and raise enough funds to rebuild the orphanage they grew up in. We are in for an evening of great music. Among others, we will hear hits such as Every body needs somebody, Soul Man, Gimmie some lovin, Do you love me, Sweet home Chicago and many more. For the top-notch cast and musicians, every performance is a special experience. They will stop in Ljubljana as part of their European tour and delight us with blues classics that will definitely get us dancing.
