The Chinese 'attached' a 100-meter waterfall to the skyscraper

A waterfall on a skyscraper

People travel the world to see natural waterfalls, but the Chinese create artificial, man-made, 'falling water' on 100-meter skyscrapers. Someone obviously had a crazy idea.

Chinese construction company Guizhou Ludiya Property Management recognized the need to build a large waterfall on 100 meters high skyscraper in Guiyang city. With the desire to create the greatest artificial waterfall, tackled the project with enthusiasm, but during construction encountered many engineering challenges.

It's hard to deny that the waterfall is a sight to behold spectacular and creates a magnificent view, but you need it for its operation four large pumps, as well as costs electricity are huge (supposed to be US$100 per hour) so the waterfall will be 'used' only on special occasions.

Many people did reacted negatively to the construction, as they think it is a wasteful project. Five years ago, the city of Guiyang was supposed to be the poorest place in China, but today the economy is developing, the number of people in this city is increasing, so some individuals consider it an artificial waterfall a good starting point for the creation of a modern city.

Is this idea crazy or good?
