Do you still remember the clock from which the cuckoo peeped out at the exact time and sang a tune? It seems that we will soon be able to decorate our homes with a modern version of this legendary gadget.
At a Japanese company Nendo have decided to revive nostalgia and launch three modern versions of the traditional cuckoo clock. Manufacturers have replaced meticulously carved wooden sculptures and hanging pendulums with simple white dials on wooden logs.
Historians believe that the beginnings of making clocks that 'chime' every full hour date back to 17th century to the German countryside Black Forest. All three models were made for the Japanese brand Lemnos, which is known for producing minimalist watches with a modern twist.
The model is particularly functional the dial is divided into two parts, between which users can save books. The second watch doesn't even follow the traditional design, as it is, so to speak, 'upside down', while the third is unique mainly because dials moved to the side. In the gallery below, you can check which time is most convenient for you.
