Audi has revealed the Audi Concept C – a bold, electric two-seater with the brand’s new design philosophy. Targa roof, vertical frame and four light bars. Production version? Announced for 2027 and almost identical to the concept.

Audi says that Audi Concept C embodies a “new era of clarity” and introduces a fresh design language under the leadership of Massimo Frascella (CCO from 1 June 2024). Central vertical frame is the “central element of the new Audi face”, a light signature with four horizontal elements front and rear, it will become a recognizable calling card for future models. The color is simply called Titanium – warmth and technical elegance.

“We are beginning a new era of clarity – less is more,” sums up the brand's leadership. This is not just another showcar, but a manifesto for how Audis will look and function in the next decade.

Measures that tell the truth – Audi Concept C

Official technical sheet is accurate: length 4520mm (177.95 in), width 1970mm (77.56 in), height 1285mm (50.59 in) and wheelbase 2568mm (101.10 in). Weight: 1690 kg (3726 lb). The concept is rear-wheel drive and sits on 21-inch wheels; the series will almost certainly add quattro with an additional motor on the front axle.

Targa roof and… no rear window

Audi Concept C hides its biggest fun in the roof: electric dual-zone folding hardtop – for the first time in an Audi roadster. There is no classic glass at the rear; instead, there are horizontal slats, in which it is also integrated third brake lightThe solution is clean, aerodynamically calm and visually very “Avus/Auto Union” of the 1930s – without the retro costume design.

Interior: shy tech, the right buttons and “Audi click”

The cabin is minimalistic yet tactile. Anodized aluminum The switch is not a fad, but a return to serious controls. 10.4-inch the screen after use tidy up into the dashboard (yes, like in the "good old" Audis), and the rest of the interface is reduced to cleverly arranged physical buttons - shy tech in practice. The upholstery in wool twill and recycled fabrics sounds more Scandinavian living room than track-day; the feel is premium and sturdy.

Technical background: 800 V, central battery, RWD (and probably AWD)

Audi isn't revealing specifics about the battery yet, but it says enough to let us read between the lines: central battery placement dictates proportions, 800-volt The electrical architecture promises very fast charging. The concept is RWD, and in Ingolstadt they don't hide the fact that AWD just “one engine away.” Several reputable sources add that the production model will shared key elements with the new electric Porsche 718 (Boxster/Cayman).

Dimensions vs. icons: closer to R8 than TT

Although Audi associates it with the spirit of TT, is closer in dimensions R8: 178 in length, 77.6 in width and 101.1 in wheelbase. In terms of weight (1690 kg) it is practically where it was R8 Spyder – which means that Concept C is not a “paper EV”, but an athlete with real muscles. They stand on the car 21-inch six-spoke wheels with 255/30 tires at the front and 305/30 at the rear.

Legacy: from TT (1995) to Concept C (2025)

The brand openly “plays on emotions”: inspiration comes from Auto Union Type C (1936), from Avus concept (1991) and even from “Rosemeyer” (2000). All this mixed with DNA TT, which debuted as a concept in 1995 and three years later became a serial Bauhaus icon on wheels. Concept C it's not retro; it is “greatest hits” Audi coupes in a modern, strictly refined score.

From concept to showroom: 2027, almost “copy-paste”

This is the sweetest part of the story: the brand's management and designers say that it will serial model 2027 very much close to the concept – changes will be at a distance “50 meters invisible”. Price? Between TT and R8, which in practice means close to six figures (USD)Bloomberg also reports on “very low five figures” annual quantities. First exposed in Milan, Concept C still traveling to IAA Mobility to Munich.

What hasn't been said (yet)

Final speed and acceleration 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) have not yet been published, just like battery capacity and accurate power(s) engines. Audi clearly indicates that the goal is driver involvement, not a laboratory sprint – hence the return to the buttons, the steering wheel of a real round shape and “analog” a sense of interaction.

Why It's Important (and Why It Looks So Good)

S TT and R8 Audi said goodbye to both sports icons (the TT rolled off the assembly line for the last time in 2023, the R8 ended production in 2024). Concept C is a clear message that the brand does not want to leave a void: a sports car that is also the face of the new AudiWhile the “bold simplicity” can be polarizing, it works – especially when combined with the dual coupe/roadster character.

Conclusion: Audi Concept C

Audi Concept C is exactly what the brand needed: sports showcase a new identity that combines pure form, shy tech and practical duality (a coupe that transforms into a roadster in seconds). With precise dimensions (4520 × 1970 × 1285 mm), a real weight (1690 kg) and 800‑V architecture and RWD/AWD The script suggests that it is not hiding behind smoke and mirrors, but is built for the road. Serial arrival of the year 2027 and announced price between TT and R8 sound sober, even ambitious – but that's where Audi finds its courage again. If the ride is as pure as the design, it's Audi Concept C on track to give Audi back that feeling of TT in 1995, it achieved a series-production fate of almost “copy-paste”. In times when cars often scream, this one speaks in a whisper – and perhaps that is the greatest strength of the new sporty Audi.
