Many hostels around the world are known for deviating from established notions of tourist accommodation. A good example is the Slovenian hostel Celica, which is far from the only one famous for its unique concept. Berlin's Generator Hostel also "invented" its own style, using the trompe-l'oeil (French term for "fooling the eye") technique for the interior, an ancient illusionistic technique that confuses the eye.
When you enter the Berlin hostel Generator Hostel, you are sure you missed the building and crossed the threshold art galleries. It decorates it a series of anamorphoses, deceptive images that under certain conditions take on a normal appearance.
