Many hostels around the world are known for deviating from established notions of tourist accommodation. A good example is the Slovenian hostel Celica, which is far from the only one famous for its unique concept. Berlin's Generator Hostel also "invented" its own style, using the trompe-l'oeil (French term for "fooling the eye") technique for the interior, an ancient illusionistic technique that confuses the eye.
