Finland is at the top of the list of the happiest countries in the world for the fourth year in a row, so we can conclude that the Finns have really discovered the secret of happiness. In addition to having one of the best education systems in the world, they are also helped by the fact that they have a high income and a well-developed culture of self-sufficiency. Trust in the government also played a big role this year. Indeed, Finland also ranks highly in terms of mutual trust between citizens and the government, which ultimately helped protect lives and preserve jobs during the pandemic.
What about Slovenia? Slovenia ranked among 149 countries 29th place, after ranking 33rd in last year's report. The most unhappy country in the world is this year Afghanistan.
One of the report's authors highlighted the fact that, on average, there was no decline in well-being when people were asked to rate their lives. According to him, the reason lies in increased solidarity and compassion, as people see the new coronavirus as a common threat that affects everyone.
Researchers also believe that we should learn from the pandemic that people should strive for well-being and not for wealth!
