Would you like to experience a very special disco? Then check out this wonder in Switzerland, which will host only 300 chosen ones next year.
Are you longing for the disco days?! The third edition of the fame discos The Detour, which has so far heated up Iceland and Scotland, will take place in a very special place. After two brilliant successes in fascinating and remote locations, in 2024 it will open its doors above the stunning village of Lauterbrunnen, in the Swiss Alps.
In May next year, the 'party' from Iceland and Scotland will move to the peaks of Switzerland. Detour Discotheque will pay tribute to Studio 54 and Paradise Garage with this, and only 300 selected visitors will be able to attend the party. The biggest party in Europe will take place at three venues. The terrace at the Birg station will host Friday's daytime party, Piz Gloria, a revolving restaurant on top of the Schiltorn mountain, will be the main scene of Saturday's events. Finally, on Sunday, the action will move to the Trinkhalle. If guests need a rest after endless parties, they can stay in the valley.
It's not just the destinations high in the Swiss Alps that are special, but also the list of performers. So whose rhythms will the chosen ones dance to? According to the first information, they are DJ Paulette, a music veteran from Manchester, Norsicaa, who runs the label Soundway Records, and Talking Drums, an up-and-coming disco re-arrangement group.
"At Detour it's all about finding spectacular locations for intimate parties, and that's as amazing as it gets," says founder Jonny Ensall and continues: "The cable car ride alone will make your heart stop. The nightclub at 3,000 meters is definitely our most ambitious project to date."
Detour Discotheque 2024 will take place from May 10 to 12. Tickets go on general sale on Sunday 10th December with prices starting at £199.
