2018 isn't over yet, but that doesn't mean we can't come up with a list of shows to watch next year. With the final season of Game of Thrones scheduled to be released in March 2019, there will be several great series that are definitely worth watching.
Which 10 TV Shows Will We Finally Get To See In 2019?
1. Black Monday
The dark comedy will premiere on January 20. The series revolves around the events before 'Black Monday', i.e. October 19, 1987, when the worst stock market crash in US history occurred.
2. First Wives Club
The series, which will start airing in January, was inspired by the 1996 film of the same name. Three friends, this time portrayed by Jill Scott, Michelle Buteau and Ryan Michelle Bathe, join forces after the men switch them for younger lovers.
3. Good Omens
Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett wrote the novel Good Omens in 1990, which eventually got its film version. Actors Michael Sheen and David Tennant will do everything to prepare the world for the apocalypse.
4. What we do in the Shadows
You may remember the horror comedy 'What Do We Do in the Dark', which was released in 2014. Soon it will be possible to watch a series in which 300-year-old vampires will try to find their place under the sun.
5. The Witcher
The literary series 'The Witcher' will also get its own series in 2019, after which an excellent series of video games was created in the past. The saga tells the story of monster hunters with superhuman abilities.
6. City on a Hill
The main stars of the crime film created by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon will be Kevin Bacon. The series follows the corrupt Boston court system.
7. Watchmen
Guardians is another in a series of series based on a book proposal and an already made film. A cartoon fantasy adventure set in an alternative America where masked superheroes rule.
8. The Central Park Five (The Central Park 5)
The drama, based on real events, takes a closer look at the rape that took place in New York's Central Park in 1989. Five black youths were wrongly convicted of the crime and were acquitted only 25 years later.
9. Fosse/Verdon
The series follows the romantic relationship between two Broadway icons: choreographer and director Bob Fosse and actress and dancer Gwen Verdon.
10. Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City
The series of nine novellas will get its own television show again after 1993, which will consist of 10 episodes. Mary Ann returns to San Francisco, where she reunites with her wacky friends.
