You probably don't need to explain that Slovenia is the most beautiful country under the sun, and its natural beauty and cultural attractions can also be discovered on a bicycle.
Although at the time of writing this article, we can only go cycling in our region, soon we will be able to cycle all over Slovenia. The most beautiful cycling routes they beckon with their picturesque scenery, nice resting places and snack bars that offer local delicacies. In addition to discovering beautiful nature, we will also strengthen our health and gain fitness on the cycling trip. Therefore, there is really no reason not to go on the most beautiful cycling routes in Slovenia soon. We searched for different terrains and found a cycling route in almost every region, which basically allows you to hit the road this weekend!
Trans Slovenia 01
The Trans Slovenia 01 mountain bike tour offers superb cycling through the most beautiful regions of Slovenia, from the Julian Alps all the way to the Adriatic Sea in just seven days. Unknown routes, diverse landscapes and the warm hospitality of the locals ensure an unforgettable experience. Traveling from the mountains to the Mediterranean has never been so exciting. The tour starts in Arnoldstein, a charming town right next to the Austrian border, and the ride continues uphill to Peč mountain, from there to Kranjska Gora, over the Vršič pass, to the Soča valley, and then leaves the mountains and continues towards Goriške Brdy. The last part of the tour offers excellent cycling through the karst area and ends in the coastal town of Piran.

Pohorska bicycle transversal
The Pohor bicycle transversal is actually a cycling discovery of Pohor from St. Bolfenka on Maribor to the foot of Kremžarjev vrh on the Carinthian side of Pohorje. You can start your journey already at the lower station of the Pohorské vzpenjače, which takes you all the way to the Bellevue Hotel in Pohorje. In its immediate vicinity, near the church of St. Bolfenka, the 75 km long Pohorska bicycle transversal begins. Those who are more energetic can also reach the starting point along Kordek's bicycle path.

The Soča cycle path
The Soška cycling route takes you past the natural and cultural attractions of the central Soška valley. It partly runs along regional and local roads. The route starts in one of the most beautiful natural corners of Tolminsko, at the confluence of Soča and Tolminka, and leads you all the way to the medieval town of Kanal, over the famous two-arched stone Canal bridge and right next to Soča, where you can admire Sveta Gora and the mastery of the builders of the Bohinj line.

Juret Robič's cycling route (D2)
One of the most beautiful Slovenian cycling routes takes you from Rateč through Kranjska Gora, past Martuljka and Mojstrana forests all the way to Jesenice. The approximately 28-kilometer-long cycling route at the foot of the Julian Alps partly runs along an abandoned railway line, over numerous bridges and is almost completely separated from motor traffic. Without steep climbs, it is also suitable for children, with snack bars and nicely arranged rest areas.

Porečanka/Parenzana
Parenzana is a well-maintained cycle path that leads along the route of the former railway from Trieste to Poreč. Traveling along it is a unique cycling experience, and you can decide on a two, three or five-day excursion proposal and set off on your journey. You will be able to see many sights and picturesque towns (Koper, Izola, Piran), and pamper yourself with clean air and unspoilt nature (Škocjanski bay, Sečoveljske soline).

Drava cycling route
The cycling route along the Drava River passes through as many as four countries (Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia) and is approximately 710 km long. The route starts in the immediate vicinity of the source of the Drava River in Toblaško Polje in Italy, and then continues through Austrian Carinthia, Slovenia and finally Croatia. In Slovenia, the route will lead you from Carinthia, past Maribor and the oldest Slovenian city of Ptuj to Ormož. On the way, you will get to know the castles of the Drava Valley, the stories of flossers and discover monuments from the times of the ancient Romans. You can relax next to the oldest vine in the world and taste local gastronomic specialties and wines.

Trans Caravans
The Trans Karavanka tour cycling route stretches from Jezerski to Tromeja, and it can also be driven in the opposite direction. It mostly runs along forest roads on the slopes of the Karavanka mountain range, it only climbs to the ridge and the border with Austria at its westernmost point in Peča or Tromeja.
The 132 kilometers, which are divided into five stages, include visits to the Slovenian Mountaineering Museum in Mojstrana and several popular mountain outposts (Valvasorjev dom pod Stolom, Dom Pristava in Javorniške Rovt, Planinski dom na Zelenica, Dom na Kofcah), but the biggest prize will be wonderful views and enjoyment of unspoilt nature.

The Mur cycle path
Among the connoisseurs, the Murska cycle path is one of the most diverse alpine cycle paths along the river, which is a true cycling path of pleasure due to its course - slightly uphill and with many culinary points. It starts in the Visoke Tura National Park and follows the Mura River through Austria's culinary capital Graz to the land of wine and spas in the border triangle Slovenia-Austria-Hungary.

The beautiful White Landscape offers many opportunities for cycling, whether it's family cycling or you want to venture into more challenging terrain. There are as many as 12 thematic cycling routes at your disposal, which lead you past picturesque villages, Gothic churches, fields and meadows, through forests and vineyards, into the hinterland of the Krupa River, and for those demanding cyclists even to the highest peak of the Bela Krajina, Mount Mirna (1,047 m ).

Slovenian tour cycling route
If you like challenges, you will certainly be impressed by the Slovenian Tour Cycling Route, which in its 41 stages and 1,850 kilometers leads you through all the most important mountain groups, visiting 112 checkpoints, including more than 50 mountain huts and many important mountain and tourist attractions. It takes you on non-traffic side roads, field paths, forest trains and tracks, but despite this, it is not technically particularly demanding, as it appeals to a wide range of cyclists.
