One chance, one wedge, one legend

The Bertone Nuccio stands just 112 cm (44 in) tall, but it's powered by a 4.3-litre Ferrari heart. It's the only one built, dating back to 2012, and was created to celebrate the company's 100th anniversary, and is now being offered in a secret auction by RM Sotheby's, with an estimated price of €400,000-500,000.

Main star Bertone Nuccio is low wedge silhouette and glass that is narrower at the bottom than at the top. The basic idea pays homage to the legendary Lancia Stratos Zero from 1970, a designer Michael Robinson he quickly – in three and a half months – adapted it to modern tastes.

An interesting detail is front brake lights, which light up blue when braking and warn pedestrians – a solution Bertone has even patented.

Technique – Ferrari mechanics without masks

Under the orange-gray panels is the well-known V8 with 360 kW (483 hp) and six-speed robotic GrazianoIt is these numbers that allow acceleration. 0-100 km/h 3.6 s (0-60 mph in 3.6 s) and the tip 316 km/h (196 mph)The engine and chassis come from Ferrari F430, so maintaining this exotic is easier than it seems.

Story – When Necessity is the Mother of Ingenuity

Bertone was in financial trouble in 2012. The Nuccio was first shown as a static model in Geneva, and later transformed into a road-going Bertone Nuccio version for the Beijing show. The world tour failed to find a buyer, and the company went bankrupt in 2015. The Nuccio remained the last car with a genuine Bertone badge, but today there is only 29,000 km (18,099 mi) – mostly from the donor F430.

Price and Auction - Bertone Nuccio

RM Sotheby's appraisesthat the one and only Nuccio will exchange the garage for €400–500 thousand (460-580 thousand $). This is about half the amount it achieved at the internal auction of Bertone's assets in 2018 - an opportunity that collectors usually do not miss.
