The Audi Q5, which has been one of the most popular mid-size SUVs in Europe for more than 15 years, is now available in its third generation. Built on the new Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), the new Audi Q5 brings improved efficiency with partially electrified engines and state-of-the-art technologies that promise even greater appeal to drivers around the world.
Exterior the new Audi Q5 is even more sporty and dynamic. The accentuated shoulder line gives the vehicle a powerful appearance, while the distinctly shaped lights and tall Singleframe emphasize the confident front end. Three exterior versions are available: basic, advanced and S line, each offering unique design elements and a choice of eleven colors.
The interior of the new Audi Q5 follows the Audi philosophy of "human-centric" design, which provides the user with ease of use and superior comfort. The digital dashboard includes a 14.5-inch MMI touch screen and an 11.9-inch virtual cockpit, which enables intuitive control of all vehicle functions.
Advanced engines and performance
The Audi Q5 is available with three engine variants, all equipped with MHEV plus technology. The entry-level model, the 2.0 TFSI, offers 150 kW (204 hp) and is available with the option of quattro drive. The model with the 2.0 TDI engine also offers 150 kW (204 hp) and has quattro drive as standard, while the Audi SQ5 is equipped with a powerful V6 TFSI engine that develops 270 kW (367 hp) and 550 Nm of torque.
Comfort and flexibility
The new Q5 sets new standards in the mid-range premium SUV segment. The interior offers comfortable accommodation for passengers and practical solutions such as a fully adjustable rear seat that allows the luggage compartment to be increased to up to 1,473 litres. In the basic configuration, the luggage compartment offers 520 liters of volume, which provides enough space for everyday needs and longer journeys. The luggage compartment is also equipped with a specially designed compartment for storing the trunk lid.
Advanced technology and connectivity
The latest generation Q5 is equipped with the most advanced driver assistance systems that significantly improve safety and comfort in everyday driving. These include adaptive cruise control, parking assistance and lane departure warning. The infotainment system, based on the Android Automotive operating system, provides access to the latest Audi connect services and applications such as YouTube via an application store integrated directly into the MMI.
Sustainable production
The new Audi Q5 is produced at the factory in San José Chiapa, Mexico, which is an example of sustainable production. The plant is the first automotive plant in the world to be certified to Alliance for Water Management (AWS) standards, which includes efficient water use and rainwater harvesting. In addition, the factory achieves a waste recycling rate of more than 90%.
Prices and availability
The new Audi Q5 and SQ5 will be available to order in Germany from September 2024, with first deliveries scheduled for the first quarter of 2025. Prices start at €52,300 for the Q5 TFSI, while the SQ5 starts at €82,900.
