The powerful fast charging system enables the battery to be charged from 10 to 80 % in just 24 minutes, which means less time at charging stations and more time on the road. The Ioniq 9 also supports bi-directional charging, allowing you to power up your home in an emergency.

Design that impresses

New Hyundai Ioniq 9 it's based on the 2021 Seven concept, but offers even more polished lines. Its aerodynamic profile with a drag of only 0.259 Cd ensures exceptional efficiency while maintaining a prestigious appearance. Eight-bit LED lights add a futuristic touch, and 16 color options ensure that everyone will find the perfect combination for their taste.

Among the color shades, exclusive colors such as Ionosphere Green Pearl and Celadon Gray Matte stand out. The sustainable design also includes colored components made from recycled materials, including tires.

Interior as a living room on wheels

Hyundai paid special attention to the interior of the Ioniq 9, as it was designed as a place to relax. The second type of seats (for the Calligraphy version) allows complete relaxation with a massage function and a reclining position. The seats can be rotated, creating a pleasant environment for family conversations when the vehicle is stationary.

The movable center console allows access to the third row of seats, and the UV-C sterilizer ensures hygienic safety. Two 12-inch screens provide easy control of the vehicle, while the "Features on Demand" app store will allow customization of functions such as special lighting effects, games and additional digital content.

Spaciousness and practicality

The Ioniq 9 is designed for families. The third row of seats provides enough space for six or seven passengers, depending on the configuration. The luggage space measures 621 liters, which increases to as much as 1,320 liters when the third row is folded. The front trunk (ti frunk) also offers additional space – 51 liters for the rear-wheel drive version and 30 liters for the four-wheel drive.

Production and price range

The Ioniq 9 will be produced at Hyundai's new "Metaplant" facility in Georgia, USA, in cooperation with LG Energy Solution. Pricing has yet to be confirmed, but the base model is expected to cost around €55,000, while the top-spec version will fetch around €80,000. Sales will begin in the second half of 2025 as a 2026 model. Hyundai has confirmed that the new Ioniq 9 will also be available in the European market. After an initial launch in the United States and South Korea early next year, the Ioniq 9 will be launched in Europe and other markets soon after.

This means that European buyers will be able to enjoy Hyundai's first electric SUV with three rows of seats, offering more than 500 kilometers of range and a spacious interior for up to seven passengers.
