Dacia enters the compact SUV segment with the Bigster, which promises spaciousness and an affordable price. The price of the Dacia Bigster ... is.
Dacia Bigster 2025 price – is very much in demand these days on the internet. After all, Dacia has raised a lot of dust in the automotive world with the launch of the Bigster model. This Romanian manufacturer, known for its affordable vehicles, is now offering an SUV that is said to cost less than 25,000 euros. Is this a real opportunity or just another marketing move?
At 4.75 meters long and 1.71 meters high, the Dacia Bigster is larger than the Volkswagen Tiguan, but significantly cheaper. The basic version with a petrol engine is expected to cost less than 25,000 euros, while the hybrid version will be available for less than 30,000 euros.
In Germany, prices for the Bigster start at 23,990 euros, in Spain at 24,590 euros, and in France at 24,990 euros.
Even the most expensive version of the Bigster, which costs 30,590 euros, is still much cheaper than the basic Volkswagen Tiguan, which starts at 38,000 euros.
The Bigster will be available with a range of powertrains. The base TCe 140 features a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine with 48-volt mild hybrid technology and a six-speed manual transmission. Expected fuel consumption is around 5.6 l/100 km and CO2 emissions from 129 g/km.
For those who need more power, the Hybrid 155 is available, combining a 107 hp (79 kW) petrol engine and two electric motors for a total output of 155 hp (114 kW). This version allows for up to 80 % of city driving time in all-electric mode.
The Bigster's interior is designed with space and comfort in mind. It offers best-in-class head and legroom and a boot capacity of up to 667 litres. A 10.1-inch digital driver display and a central touchscreen with the same diagonal are standard.
The Dacia Bigster brings a breath of fresh air to the compact SUV segment. With its spaciousness, modern technology and, above all, an affordable price, it will certainly attract a wide range of buyers. Although it is more affordable than the competition, it offers many of the functionalities we expect from more expensive models. The question remains, however, whether Dacia will manage to maintain this balance between price and quality in the long term.
