The legendary Volvo P1800, the beacon of fame in the 1960s, has been reborn. They took care of this at the Cyan Racing company, where the sports icon was redesigned for modernity. The result is stunning!
At Cyan Racing have decided to restore the model from the year 1964. In doing so, they tried to imagine what this legendary sports car would be like today if Volvo had continued to build it. And they chose authenticity - the design and driving experience of the sixties. This means that we will not find various aids in the car, such as stability control, ABS or brake booster, but instead we will get easy analog driving.
The expert team, which already has experience in the field of engine, chassis and aircraft design, has thus transformed the car for wider roads, given it bigger wheels and adjusted the windows. The new body is made of reinforced steel and carbon fiber, which certainly helps the weight of the new classic 990 kilograms. The design concludes energetic blue color, which highlights the new life of a classic.
Under the hood we find a 2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 420 horsepower and 455 Nm of torque. The five-speed Holinger transmission provides the driving experience of the sixties, while offering greater performance and precision. The biggest change is the fully adjustable front and rear suspension, bringing the sporty beauty up to date.
