Considering that energy prices are rising, it would be wise to include radiators in your weekly cleaning routine. Before turning on the heating for the first time, they should be thoroughly cleaned and dusted regularly in winter, recommends the association of German manufacturers of hygiene products.
Positive effect for allergy sufferers
If you suffer from allergies, cleaning the radiator will have an additional cost positive effect. Radiators cause air flow, that is, they raise particles of dirt and dust into the air, which can end up in the respiratory tract or in the eyes.
Cleaning radiators
Before cleaning the radiators, place a rag or newspaper under them to catch any dust or dead critters. A brush 30-40 centimeters long will be sufficient for many radiators. It can be used to clean the space behind the device and between the 'ribs'.
You can use also a vacuum cleaner, as some have special attachments for cleaning narrow spaces. After removing the dust, wipe the accessible part of the radiator with water and universal cleaner, but do not use sponges with a rough surface, as you can damage the paint.
