The international wine fair, which is considered one of the oldest fair events in Slovenia and where local and foreign winemakers present themselves with a noble drop, is returning for its 51st edition. The international wine evaluation is also returning to the scene of the crime, but it will be held for the 57th time. Ljubljana will turn into the wine capital between October 15 and 17, 2015.
International wine fair, which he brought to Ljubljana in 1987 title city of vines and wine, again this year brings tastings, wine workshops and many border activities. After years of hiatus and after rising from the ashes last year, he is back on the scene for the 51st time. It will be opened traditionally with the ceremonial opening of the wine barrel with the mayor of Ljubljana in the Pavilion in front of the Slovenian Philharmonic on Congress Square on October 14, 2015 at 6 p.m. The organizer expects well over 200 exhibitors, and the line-up will, as always, be colorful and strongly international. The central event space of the fair remains the Economic Exhibition Center, wine evaluation but it will take place at Ljubljana Castle.

At the fair, according to tradition, they will mingle wine, cuisine and gastronomy, well hospitality, tourism and culture, but of course they will not forget to raise awareness among young people about the culture of drinking wine. The fair is intended for the general and business public and is exhibition-sales oriented, which means that visitors can not only taste the wine, but also take a bottle home. And just as a glass of wine goes well with a delicious meal, so does the wine fair an extensive regional program (culinary show, lectures, musical performances, tasting workshops and the like). With it, he will spread the culture of drinking wine and share knowledge about wine among young people. The professional program will also take care of the education of winemakers and winegrowers. At the wine fair, whose beginnings date back to the year 1954, but somehow there won't be a thread missing awards ceremony. Come on foot or by public transport because you know you'll wet your tongue at least a few times during the tour.
