The Theon R is designed using carbon parts wherever possible, from the body panels to the interior. F1-grade carbon fiber ensures that the Theon R weighs less than 1,000 kilograms (about 2,205 pounds), an incredible achievement comparable to Porsche's lightweight racing cars.
During the restoration, the original car is completely disassembled, reinforced with additional welding and equipped with carbon "tubs," which give the vehicle additional torsional strength without added weight.
