Who exactly are nano-influencers?

A report that was recently published in the newspaper The New York Times, says that companies count as nano-influencers those people who have at least 1000 followers and they are willing to advertise products on social networks.

Mae Karnowski, general director of the agency Obviously, which focuses on influencer marketing, believes that companies use this method of promotion because close ties, which users have with their followers. Technology allows companies to involve a large number of people in their work and at the same time observe any progress.

Research, which was carried out on a sample of 2,000 people in February of this year, found that 71 % people think that influencer marketing is completely free. More than 30 % respondents are not familiar with the rules of branding and language use that influencers must follow. So the public still doesn't understand the influencer marketing system. This must otherwise be done in accordance with the organization's regulations Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).
