These are the films that will take us to the cinema in July

We have prepared a selection of July films that will be shown in our cinemas. There is some romance waiting for you, as well as the horror story The First Purge, which takes us to the very beginning of the series of speculative horror stories.

Lost in the Waves (Adrift, 2018)


The film is based on the true story of Tama Oldham and her fiance Richard Sharp, who embarked on a journey across the ocean and had no idea that they would be swept away by the strongest hurricane in history. Tami wakes up after the hurricane to find the ark destroyed and Richard badly injured. Without navigation or any other aids, Tami will have to find the strength to get them back to safety.

Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018)


In the first part, we could see how the thief and con man Scott Lang, who spends his life burglarizing and serving time in prisons, is given by scientist Hank a suit that reduces him to the size of an ant and at the same time gives him immense power and the ability to communicate with ants. Today, Scott navigates between the role of superhero and role model father, Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym needs his help in a new mission in which he and Osa discover the secrets of their past.

The First Purge (2018)


The horror film harkens back to the very beginning of the Purge film series, created and directed by James DeMonaco. The so-called new fathers of America are trying to bring the crime rate below one percent for the rest of the year, so they decide to test a sociological theory where citizens in one of the gated communities are allowed to vent their anger and aggression in one night and can do whatever crimes, and as a result they will not be punished. However, during those twelve hours, the violence spreads to unimaginable proportions and engulfs the entire nation.

Former head of the FBI's Special Hostage Rescue Unit and war veteran Will Sawyer assesses security for skyscrapers after having his leg amputated. He lives with his family in the tallest and safest building in the world in Hong Kong, where he takes care of security, but points out certain flaws in the skyscraper. Despite assurances from superiors that the building is spotless, it is attacked by terrorists. The terrorists put all the responsibility for the situation on Sawyer, who, while on the run, must find those responsible for the accident and save his family.

In an intricate game of cat and mouse, Ray must rescue his wife and himself from a terrifying mystery involving the hotel and the strange people who frequent it.
