Apple and innovation – it’s a love story that’s been going on for decades. Every year, the tech giant convinces us that this year we’re really getting something revolutionary, and so expectations for the iPhone 17 Pro 2025 are once again at their peak. Although the official launch is still a few months away, the web is already buzzing with rumors, analysis and – let’s be honest – some wild speculation. Will this be the iPhone that changes everything… again? Let’s take a look at what Apple’s new flagship is expected to bring to the table (or rather – into our pockets).

Most of the rumors currently revolve around a bold redesign of the back of the phone iPhone 17 DecIf insiders like Jon Prosser are to be believed, Apple is preparing for a radical turnaround: a broad camera island, which spans almost the entire back of the device. Think of it as a kind of photography platform, with three cameras on the left elegantly arranged in a triangular arrangement, and an LED flash, LiDAR scanner, and microphone on the right. Apple apparently he really wants us all to know that you have a top-notch camera – before you even use it.

And that's not all. Although titanium barely domesticated well in Pro models, it's rumored that Apple will now replace it with aluminum. The result? A lighter device and better cooling, but also questions about durability. Titanium was a premium material that made the phone for those 200 euros more worked even more prestigious – but now it seems that Apple is saying goodbye to it. The back of the iPhone 17 Pro will be a combination of aluminum on the top and glass on the bottom, which means that wireless charging remains.

Will this move be well received by users, or will Apple have to listen to some outcry? We'll see soon.

Cameras: a revolution or just another evolution?

Every year, Apple swears that its new camera is “the best ever” – and this year will be no different. But this time, those words might actually be backed up by concrete numbers. The iPhone 17 Pro is said to have three 48 MP cameras – a main, ultra-wide and telephoto lens. The unified resolution opens the door to the advanced computational photography features that Apple loves so much, while also promising better sharpness and detail in all types of photos.

Special attention is paid to the telephoto lens, which some predict will see its biggest upgrade yet. This means better zooms, less noise in low light, and – let’s be honest – even more competition in moon photography between iPhones and Samsungs.

The front camera will also not be left in the shadows. It is rumored that it will jump to 24MP, which is a concrete upgrade from the current 12 MP. Better selfies, less distortion, and improved video call quality? Anyone who spends half their day on Zoom or Instagram will probably be happy.

Performance: A19 Pro and RAM that divides opinions

Under the hood, the iPhone 17 Pro will be A19 Pro, a new chip built on TSMC's advanced 3nm manufacturing process. That means more power and lower power consumption – or, translated into Apple's marketing: a battery that lasts all day (depending on your habits, of course).

Performance will not only depend on the chip, but also on the RAM. Will the iPhone 17 Pro have 12 GB of RAM? This is an issue that divides analysts. Some say that the higher amount of memory will be reserved only for the model Pro Max, while the classic Pro will remain at 8GB. This could affect advanced AI features and multitasking – meaning users of the smaller model will have to accept slightly lower performance.

What else does the iPhone 17 Pro bring?

In addition to the classic improvements, Apple is apparently cooking up a few surprises:

  • Goodbye, Qualcomm? Apple is finally set to unveil own modem, which will reduce dependence on Qualcomm solutions. This could mean better connectivity and greater control over the mobile network.
  • Narrower Dynamic Island? Model Pro Max It is said to get an improved “metalens” for Face ID, which would allow for a smaller Dynamic Island. Will this change also be carried over to the standard Pro? That remains an open question.
  • Screen? No major surprises. ProMotion remains at 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth animations and responsiveness.

Conclusion: Is the iPhone 17 Pro worth the wait?

Apple at iPhone 17 Pro It's clear that Apple won't be taking any big leaps forward, but rather refining proven concepts. Bigger cameras, a faster chip, and the option for more RAM are all improvements that many will welcome. On the other hand, the aluminum frame and potential differences between the Pro and Pro Max models suggest that Apple still likes to divide its users into “standard Pro” and “elite Pro Max” customers.

What will this mean for the price? Well, knowing Apple, don't expect any discounts. The only question is whether the iPhone 17 Pro 2025 will actually be significantly better than its predecessor or will it just be another generation with a slogan: “The best iPhone ever.”

Until September 2025, we'll be left guessing - but if history is any indication, Apple is already making plans to convince us once again that we desperately need it.
