With the new model 4 E-Tech Electric, Renault captured the nostalgia of the old, but enriched it with modern technology and bold design. This new model, based on the AmpR-Small platform, offers a fully electric drive, similar to its smaller brother, Renault 5 E-Tech Electric, but with some important differences.

The first thing that attracts attention is the impressive length of the new one Renault 4, which with its 4.14 meters exceeds the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric by 22 centimeters. Despite its longer length, it maintains a typical retro look, which is complemented by modern details. The front fascia is illuminated by an elegant LED strip that surrounds the spherical LED headlights, while the illuminated Renault logo flaunts in the center – a first for this brand.

As a tribute to the 1961 original, which became a true icon, the new version also retains some classic elements. Similar to the original, the rear lights are arranged vertically in three parts, but this time with modern LED technology, which gives them a more sophisticated look. The rear part of the vehicle ends with a spoiler and a rear wiper, which enables practicality in everyday use.

One of the most interesting details that brings a touch of the past is the folding canvas roof. As with some older people R4 models it is also possible to order this option for the electric version, which provides a real convertible experience. Although the roof will not be completely open, as with e.g. Fiat 500 Convertible, will nevertheless bring plenty of freshness to the ride.

The side panels of the new R4 boast elegant lines that subtly hint at the plastics from later versions of the R4. The three parallel stripes on the sides emphasize the retro charm, while at the same time they are a functional and aesthetic addition.

The special feature of the new R4 is, of course, its illuminated grille with logo, which adds a touch of modernity to the retro design. We also cannot ignore the trapezoidal side windows above the rear wheels, which not only visually lengthen the rear side glass surfaces, but also allow for better visibility.
