This is what no one talks about after a breakup

No one talks about how awful that last conversation is, the one that makes you realize the person in front of you isn't the one you fell in love with. No one talks about how painful it is to watch someone give up, who no longer fights.

No one talks about how much it hurts when you realize there's nothing you can say to change his mind.

No one talks about how it feels when a breakup hits you out of nowhere, leaving you confused and you don't even know where you are anymore. No one talks about how all the details of the last conversation stay in your memory for too long and the weight in your heart.

No one talks about what it's like when the love of your life walks away.

No one talks about how hard it is to wake up that first morning when you're alone and you just want to sleep. No one can tell how even in your dreams you think about him and your absence hurts.

No one talks about how loud the silence is when the person you want to hear is no longer by your side.

No one talks about neglecting basic needs like food because you're just not hungry. A broken heart literally forces your body to physically shut down and you just don't care about that.

No one talks about how depressed you get. You don't want to see anyone. About how lonely you feel no matter where you go, who you're with.

No one talks about how you look for him/her in the crowd hoping to see him/her. Nobody talks about seeing that person in everyone you meet.

No one talks about how you have to pretend not to cry in public.

No one talks about how hard it is to watch your ex move on without you. No one talks about the pain of seeing him happy because you still miss him.

No one talks about losing a husband/wife and a best friend at the same time. About how hard it is to find a routine again. And even when you find it, you feel like you're just moving.

No one talks about that moment when you realize you've completely lost him/her and lost yourself at the same time.

No one talks about how it feels to be triggered by simple life events. Maybe it's a song on the radio that brings you to tears, maybe it's the smell of rain or… No one talks about the pain of nostalgia.

No one talks about how frustrating the healing process is. Some days you feel perfectly fine, and other days you feel like you're drowning.

Nobody talks about what it's like when you first see him again. Your heart is racing, you start sweating, you wonder if he even notices you. He looks exactly the same, but you don't know anything about him anymore, he's not the person you used to know. This is not the person you loved.

And time heals all wounds and disappointments.
