Newspaper cleans glass better than any cloth, and window cleaner can be made from ingredients you have at home! We have three effective recipes for you!
No matter how hard you try to keep your windows clean and shiny, they get dirty again in record time. Cloth and chemical window cleaners only make things worse, as cloths leave marks, and many products only smear dirt and leave a misty effect.
Fortunately, there are much cheaper and more effective ways to clean your windows!
Ammonia, alcohol and dishwashing detergent
Mix two tablespoons of ammonia with half a cup of rubbing alcohol, then add a quarter of a tablespoon of mild dishwashing detergent. Pour the resulting liquid into a spray bottle. Spray the window glass evenly and wipe with newspaper.
Vinegar, alcohol, cornmeal and essential oil
Combine a quarter cup of vinegar, equal to alcohol, one tablespoon of cornmeal, two cups of water, and eight to ten drops of the essential oil of your choice. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and here, too, spray the windows evenly and wipe with newspaper (you can also use coffee filter paper).
Newsprint, water, vinegar and liquid soap
Pour two cups of water, a quarter cup of vinegar, and a half cup of liquid soap into a bowl. Cut newspaper sheets and dip them in the prepared mixture. Wash the windows first in a circular motion, then in alternating horizontal and vertical motions until the stains and liquid residue are gone, the Huffington Post advises.
