On the edge of Ljubljana, at the exit from the highway for Brezovica, we are tempted by the smell of freshly breaded chicken. That's when we know that we are near the local inn Pr' Kopač, which literally spoils its guests with proven Slovenian culinary delicacies. The inn stands right next to the road and has a large parking lot where we can safely leave our steel horse. The history of the inn dates back to 1848, when it was a typical coachman's inn with only one dish on the menu. But until today, a lot has changed, as each generation has added something new to the previous knowledge. Their skill in preparing breaded chicken, stews and blood sausages with cabbage has such a long tradition that it has become their trademark. In pleasantly furnished interior spaces, with fast and friendly service, we will always feel welcome and come back again and again. Also, respect, moderate prices and delicious dishes are additional arguments that invite us to be guests. Among Kopač's specialties are stews and ricetta, roast beef, stuffed veal breast and Viennese steaks. Don't miss the kolin offer in the winter, and the stuffed peppers and pumpkins in the summer. We can also enjoy old Slovenian dishes that we will no longer find on other menus. We can order bile with pumpkin oil, beef in salad, baked goat cheese in bacon and much more. In addition to traditional dishes, they also offer healthy vegetable side dishes and other less fatty dishes, as well as fish specialties, which are served in their fish kitchen. Pr' Kopač says that the day begins and ends at the table.
