Buying a smartphone? Some of the biggest players in the market have already presented their trump cards for 2017. If you're wondering what the best smartphones are in 2017, you'll get the answer below. Of course, we won't have a definitive answer until the new iPhone arrives, which Apple will present in September and will certainly join the bottom five.
We selected those phones that were presented in 2017 and these are novelties that can be obtained, or they will also be available on the Slovenian market according to the assurances of the suppliers. We could certainly add another phone to this list of five phones Google Pixel and OnePlus 3T. Unfortunately, we will almost certainly not see them on the shelves of Slovenian retailers.
Top 5 – the best smartphones of 2017:
Sony Xperia XZ Premium smartphone
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium stands out from the competition with its unique appearance. The successor of the Sony Xperia XZ model brings everything that we missed from its predecessor. It has a 5.5-inch 4K HDR-screen (810 ppi) with protective glass Corning Gorilla Glass 5 with support for displaying HDR content. It boasts an aluminum body that is brushed along the sides. At 7.9 millimeters, it is slightly thinner than the Xperia XZ. It is powered by a Qualcomm 835 processor, and thanks to the Snapdragon X16 LTE modem, it allows data transfer speeds of up to 1 GB, which is practically the speed of a fiber optic cable. It has 4 GB of system memory and 64 GB of data storage, which can be increased to 256 GB with a microSD memory card.

HTC U Ultra smartphone
The successor to the HTC 10 is called the HTC U Ultra and belongs to the new U family. It has a secondary screen and a personal assistant, but like the iPhone 7, it does not have a classic headphone jack. In contrast to the HTC 10, which was very restrained in design, the HTC U Ultra goes in a completely different direction. It is decorated with a 'liquid' appearance (Liquid Surface), which in practice means that we can expect interesting reflections. It's very smooth to the touch, so you probably won't be able to do without a case if you don't want it to slide out of your hands like soap. Although you hope that your phone will never fall out of your hand, it is inevitable. Therefore, the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and the option of choosing sapphire glass will come in handy. The 5.7-inch LCD 5 screen has QHD resolutions (1440 x 2560 pixels) and a secondary screen with a resolution of 160 x 1040 pixels.

It comes in new color combinations and with the new Leica dual camera version 2.0, which offers the ultimate portrait mode, and the new Leica front camera for selfies like never before. Exceptional performance is ensured by the Kirin 960 processor, Huawei Ultra Memory and the new EMUI 5.1 user interface with the leading 4 × 4 LTE MIMO antenna system and 2 × 2 Wi-Fi MIMO antenna system. Modeled on the iconic design of the P series, the Huawei P10 is elegant and comfortable to hold at just 6.98mm thick.

LG G6 smartphone
The LG G6 has a “5.7-inch screen in a 5.2-inch body,” as LG put it. The phone feels small, even though it has a massive 2880 x 1440 resolution screen. It also stands out for its unusual aspect ratio, namely 18:9 (usually 16:9), so despite the fact that it has a larger screen than the iPhone 7 Plus, it can be used with one hand. The body (the phone is not the thinnest at 7.9 millimeters) is made of aluminum and glass, and under it is a Qualcomm 821 processor, 4 GB of system memory and 32 GB of data storage space, which can be expanded with a microSD memory card .

It is equipped with an advanced 8 MP F1.7 front camera, with smart autofocus and a 12 MP F1.7 Dual Pixel rear camera, with improved image processing for photos even in the lowest light, with zoom and without blur. It boasts the IP68 standard, which brings resistance to water and dust, and the intelligent Bixby interface that helps the user use their phone more efficiently.
