Toronto: Sights worth seeing
Looking at the photos of Toronto, it will quickly become clear which is the main attraction. Iconic CN Tower it is as high as 533 meters and it is simply impossible to miss it, as it is visible from all corners of the city. You can just watch it from afar, or you can climb all the way to the top, from where you can enjoy wonderful views of the city and Lake Ontario. On clear days, also all of Niagara Falls. Once considered the tallest free-standing structure in the world, the CN Tower is now a Toronto landmark.
If you'd rather stay firmly on the ground, head on over Royal Ontario Museum, which covers the fields of natural history, art and culture from around the world. Also interesting is the collection of the Art Gallery of Ontario, which is considered one of the largest museums in North America. In it you can admire more than 95,000 works of art from all over the world. It's also not far from the CN Tower Ripley's Aquarium, which is popular especially among families. The most impressive part of the aquarium is a large underwater tunnel where sharks and other sea creatures swim above your head.
One of the most unusual buildings in Toronto is without a doubt Casa Loma, a mansion that stands out from the overall image of the city. It was built in 1914 by Canadian entrepreneur Sir Henry Mill Pellatt, who was one of the first to recognize the potential of Niagara Falls. At the end of construction, the famous Canadian went bankrupt, so he did not get a taste of life in the mansion with as many as 98 rooms and a museum. The Toronto Music Garden is also a slightly different attraction of the city, this city park offers great views of the CN Tower. Where does the park get its name from? Landscape architect Julie Moir Messervy designed the park in collaboration with cellist Yo-Yo Maj, and they were inspired by Suite No. 1 by Johann Sebastian Bach. The concerts that take place in the park during the summer months are real poetry for the ears.
Toronto also offers many activities for sports fans, especially hockey. You can take a look Hall of Fame with legendary hockey players, and the Stanley Cup is also on display. If you have a few days left, take a drive to Niagara Falls, which only takes about an hour.
