In an age of cars competing in technological excess, Toyota is going back to basics. It presents the Toyota IMV 0 - a pickup that bets on simplicity and functionality, all at a price of around €10,000.

If Jeremy Clarkson saw the Toyota IMV 0, he would probably remark with his characteristic humor: "It's like sushi - simple and brilliant". Expected in Thailand under the name Hilux Champ, the IMV 0 is based on the rugged platform of its predecessor, the Hilux. The pickup is designed in a minimalist way: the basic model includes four wheels, a flat caisson platform and a two-door cab, without modern accessories such as screens, radio or tachometer. Still, Toyota allows customization for those who want more comfort.

The starting price, around €10,000, makes the IMV 0 extremely attractive to price-sensitive buyers. The interior is modest, but designed with flexibility in mind. Toyota is planning modular units that can be attached to the back of the vehicle, allowing it to be transformed into a mobile cafe, DJ booth or travel accommodation.

In terms of configurations, the IMV 0 offers rear-wheel drive, a petrol 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine and a 5-speed manual gearbox. 137 horses. It's designed with upgrades in mind, including pre-built places for accessories like side beds or cargo racks. With its practical design and focus on functionality, the vehicle is an attractive choice for businessmen and those looking for a simple yet effective workhorse.

The IMV 0 offers a direct driving experience that highlights its rugged nature rather than luxury. It is designed for transporting cargo on undeveloped roads, where it prioritizes durability and practicality.

As a motoring sage would say: "Sometimes less really is more." At a time when cars boast digital displays and hybrid engines, the Toyota IMV 0 takes a different route, offering a basic yet highly functional vehicle. Ideal for those who value simplicity and don't want to waste money on unnecessary accessories.
