The director of the Oscar-winning war drama No Man's Land tells the story of photographer Marko, who goes to Kurdistan with his friend David in the late 1980s. A brutal war causes moral dilemmas and disputes between the two friends, so they split up. After Mark's return to his homeland, his wife Elena wants to know what happened, but as an emotionally broken Mark does not want to open up, Elena's father comes to the rescue. An experienced psychiatrist opens Mark's mental wounds and forces him to face his feelings of guilt.
