Uroš Perić shined on domestic and foreign stages with his interpretations of Ray Charles, a legend of soul and r&b music who has been dead for almost six years now. With his program A Tribute to Ray Charles, he performed on three continents: in Europe, the USA and even in Africa. He recorded and performed with many jazz orchestras at home and around the world and worked with established musicians such as: Duško Gojković, Oto Pestner, Sheila Raye Charles, Primož Grašič, Mia Žnidarič, Dada Kladenik, Caroline Mhlanga, JC Dook, Nuška Drašček, Lew Green, Jeff Green, Kai Henry Peterson and many others. In the fall of 2006, his first solo CD, Inspired by the genius, was released. The following year, a CD titled For Real - Zares was presented in Ljubljana. On the CD, Perić presented himself with jazz compositions that made Ray Charles famous, as well as his own compositions. The albums Perry's Diary and All of me followed, and he is preparing an album of duets that will be released later this year. At the concert in Portorož, Uroš will introduce himself to us with his band The Bluenote Quartet, with whom he has been collaborating for many years. He will also share the stage with three female backing vocalists who went by the name The Pearlettes. Together they will present to us the opus of the musical giant in a superb performance, full of energy.
