Your brain continues to function after death, says new research

We've all thought about what will happen when we die. It is this unimaginability that is the most frightening feature of death. Scientists have now discovered what happens to our brains when we die. The research findings will surprise you.

dr. Sam Parnia of New York University discovered that human consciousness works even after a person has already died. His team is researched cases of cardiac arrest victims, which already seemed to have their lives over, but later came back to life.

These people were able to describe events, which took place while their heart stopped. They remembered, for example, conversations between doctors and nurses.

Medicine says that death occurs when the heart stops beating. As a result, the brain no longer receives blood, making it impossible for the body to stay alive. The cerebral cortex, which enables us to think, stops performing its functions in up to 20 seconds.

Death is unknown.

This is far from the only example that has shown that our brain does not stop working after death. They are recent doctors from Canada reported a patient whose brain showed signs of activity even after the machines that kept the patient alive were turned off.
