TVR Griffith: TVR has risen from the dead

TVR was a well-known British manufacturer of sports cars, usually a bit wild. It has been 11 years since the bankruptcy of the company, and since then the brand has sunk into oblivion. However, times change and so a new opportunity has come for TVR in the form of the new TVR Griffith supercar.

Essence and heart TVR Griffith represents 5-liter naturally aspirated 8-cylinder engine, which, among other things, is also found in Ford Mustang GT. Cosworth's experts have refined it a little more and it produces enviable products 480 horsepower. Because the Griffith weighs only 1250 kilograms, the power-to-weight ratio allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than four seconds and reaches top speed 322 km/h. TVR introduces a new chassis construction where steel tubes are interconnected with carbon plates, which provides the car with extreme strength and enables a low final weight.

A simple design can be expected from the new TVR Griffith, without any very luxurious accessories. As Griffith keeps up with the times, the interior is no longer analogue, as it is entirely new digitized. Compared to previous models, we now have a built-in due to legislation ABS system, airbags and tire skid control. A special edition to mark the launch and revival of the TVR brand will cost approx 100,000 euros, and later we can also expect a bit of a cheaper version.
