How we think and where we direct our energy and attention also largely affects what things we will prioritize, what we will even notice, who we will give a chance to. All this also logically affects what our life will actually be like. Here we present to you two ways of thinking that have a significant impact on our lives.
Stanford University researcher Carol Dweck claims there are two ways of thinking, which is important affect our lives. They call each other fixed way of thinking (fixed mindset) and growth mindset (growth mindset).
For the first way of thinking is characterized by believing that our abilities, such as intelligence, as well as personality traits, relatively unchanging. For another way of thinking but it is typical that we believe that through life we can change and thus have the opportunity to grow in a direction close to us. Persons in whom a fixed way of thinking prevails several times they lose interest, when a particular task becomes difficult, if they are the rejected are quick to panic, but they also need more external motivations.
People in which a growth-focused mindset prevails, they are more motivated even in the case when it is the challenge is greater, because they believe that it is possible to improve, and they are also more intrinsically motivated.
So it is obvious that it is fixed way of thinking a little worse for us. But the good news is that there is a way of thinking with patience can be changed. How? The first step it is, yes we accept our own weak points and we are reconciled with them. We can't all be good at everything, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Furthermore, changing the way of thinking can help above all, yes we listen to ourselves as much as possible and we act in accordance with our own integrity and wishes. When we pursue those goals that pull us for their own sake and not for some external reward, it is often less important how well we do, because we are already enjoying the journey to the goal anyway.
