Let's go back to 2013, when top designers Dries Van Noten, Valentino, Kenzo and Comme des Garçons brought a modern camouflage pattern to the catwalks, dressing their models in repurposed military gear. At the time, we had some hope that the revival of the camouflage pattern would stand the (fashion) test of time, and apparently we didn't hope in vain. We have a lot to thank for the way innovative brands and designers have continued to reinterpret the standard look of the camouflage pattern, adding new shades of green and brown and ensuring that this iconic pattern is still worn today. For those of you who still don't know how to incorporate this pattern into your everyday fashion, we have prepared some ideas on how to wear a camouflage pattern and stay on trend at the same time.
How to wear a camouflage pattern?
The sixties
A camouflage jacket and wrinkle-worn jeans (by no means destroyed), as seen at Valentino's fashion show this year, could easily be one of our favorite looks this fall. If our hairstyle is hippie rather than military, and if we happen to be the proud owners of a beard among other things, then all the better!
Official business
Don't overdo it with a camouflage pattern for work. A luxurious leather bag, canvas sneakers or a camouflage lined coat are all fantastic ways to wear the trend without overdoing it.
Free time
Camouflage can also be included in leisure clothing, when we can break the monotony with a good piece. For the finishing touch, we can add snow-white sneakers, which will 'brighten up' the whole look.

Which camouflage pieces are your wardrobe must-haves?
A jacket
The camouflage pattern is a timeless motif, so we can also incorporate it into our wardrobes without any worries. The camo jacket will undoubtedly be our most powerful layering weapon as we transition from summer to fall. The jacket will look great worn over a simple crew-neck t-shirt and paired with skinny jeans or canvas pants. If the jacket is made of light, airy materials, then it can be worn over a shirt and under a coat without any worries, thus conquering the streets again with layering.
Fashion accessories
A bold camouflage pattern is all we need to breathe new life into our monochrome outfit. Instead of opting for printed trousers or a jacket, you can spice up your look with fashion accessories with a camouflage pattern - whether it's a cap or hat, a pair of shoes or the rare printed sunglasses.
