VanMoof S4 & X4: A new era of affordable sophisticated electric bikes is on the horizon

"We've made e-Bikes more accessible and reliable than ever before," says Taco Carlier, co-founder VanMoof. The new models are based on the iconic frames of the popular VanMoof S3 and X3, but have been completely redesigned.

It's the technology that really stands out. The S4 and X4 have two built-in automatic transmissions and an integrated keyless Gen 4 Kick Lock. With a simple movement of the foot, the rear wheel is locked and activated by built-in alarms. Recognizable technology is also built in VanMoof vs Theft, including built-in alarms, location tracking and remote locking.

As a finishing touch, Turbo Boost provides on-demand acceleration, while dynamic motor assistance ensures a smooth ride. Thanks to the built-in phone holder, you can use the VanMoof app as a dashboard to track the speed, duration and distance of each ride.

However, technology is not the only asset of these new models. First, the bikes are available in four stunning colors: Evergreen, Sunbeam Yellow, Purple Fog and Foam Green. The move underscores the company's efforts to increase the accessibility and appeal of its bikes to a wide range of riders.

VanMoof S4 & X4 were launched globally on May 9 via www.vanmoof.com for a pre-order price of €2,198. Riders can sign up for a waiting list to be notified when a new color goes on sale.
