The Via Mala inn, located in Maribor, is one of the few inns that offer authentic Swiss cuisine and are happy to serve you. Swiss inns are cozy and homely, and this is how the owners of Via Male also equipped the Maribor inn. Wood and furnishings dominate, which contribute to a warm and, above all, homely atmosphere. In the summer garden, fourteen people can try the cuisine at once, while there is room for fifty people in the cute interior. As befits a Swiss restaurant, cheese is also on offer. Among the specialties, they highlight Zurich-style meat, i.e. sliced meat with mushrooms, ramsteak in herb butter with vegetables, baked cheese, curd pockets with gorgonzola and spečki, which are home-made pasta. A particularly interesting dish is raclette. It's melted cheese with potatoes, topped with pineapple, apples and vegetables, all baked in the oven. They also prepare home-made typical Swiss garlic and tomato cream soup, veal liver, homemade spečel, rösti and other delicacies. As for desserts, they mostly offer chocolate parfait, which is like home-made ice cream in vanilla sauce with chocolate cake, cottage cheese pockets in čežana, wine soda and chocolate fondue. Seventeen Swiss-colored menus are available every day at lunchtime, so everyone can find something for themselves.
