Dubrovnik has always radiated glamour, as evidenced by some of the most beautiful villas and hotels that are an integral part of the city today. With renovations, they regain their old luster and irresistible charm.
History of the house Villa Beba it dates back to ancient times, since then there are the first traces of its existence, and it has been owned by the same family since 1708. It experienced its greatest fame in the ownership of Mrs. Bebe, who was called the most beautiful woman from Dubrovnik during the two wars, so now the villa bears her name.
With the new project, the house was restored to its former glory. They preserved the history of the house with a modern, functional design and layout. Restored pieces of antique furniture, long corridors, old photographs, porcelain tableware, silver cutlery and details remind of a lady's life. The eclectic design is intended to represent the various artistic periods that the house has experienced over the centuries, so that styles from Art Nouveau to Art Deco, Biedermeier and retro patterns of the 50s are boldly intertwined. Most of the furniture was made by Croatian companies according to the plans of the architectural studio Kaliterna, and some pieces are of world-class design. The best materials were also used in the furnishing, such as French wallpapers, textiles and luxurious Spanish ceramic tiles.
With the new layout, the 3-storey house now has five spacious bedrooms, three of which are extremely luxurious. Each has its own wardrobe and spacious bathroom. The living room is connected to the dining room, but the kitchen is separate from the other rooms. From the living room there is access to the terrace and the pool.
The garden of the villa is rich in citrus fruits and hundred-year-old palm trees. The garden also has a summer kitchen and a terrace that offers the most beautiful view of Dubrovnik and the island of Lokrum. An old stone staircase leads from the small lookout point to the very entrance to the Banje beach. The villa is located in the most elite area of Dubrovnik, in Ploče, right above Banje beach.
