It has been rumored for quite some time that the biggest players in the smartphone industry, such as Samsung and Apple, are developing an under-display fingerprint reader. But all this time, someone else really developed the technology and recently presented it to users. It is a relatively unknown manufacturer - the Chinese Vivo.
Viva, one of China's largest smartphone manufacturers, has plowed the fallow land into a new era fingerprint readers, as the new technology could also affect the appearance of these popular devices. They named the phone X20 Plus UD, and its new technology was created in cooperation with an American reader manufacturer Synaptics.
The more the appearance of phones changed, here we mean mainly borderless screens and ever thinner cases, there were more and more calls for a new fingerprint reader, because the current ones take up too much space.
The fingerprint reader on the Vivo X20 Plus UD works by OLED light emitting diodes they illuminate the fingerprint and recognize his physical properties. The phone stores this information in its memory and the next time it is used, the diodes light up again. If the lighting surface matches the original one, it unlocks the phone.
The Vivo X20 Plus UD is otherwise equipped with 6.43-inch OLED screen, processors Snapdragon 660, battery with 3,800 mAh and 12 MP camera.
It is not yet known when the new generations of "smart people" will be equipped with revolutionary technology, but it is crystal clear that they will not be able to avoid it.
