Volkswagen is on the offensive, as it is expected to present as many as 34 new models this year. The Volkswagen Arteon Shooting Brake is actually the icing on the cake.
We could see the Arteon on our roads for the first time in 2017, and slowly it was time for him designers afford the first beauty fixes. Since the public demanded "Shooting Brake", in addition to the renovation, they also gave it a completely new version. This appeals mainly to premium brands, which in their model range have station wagons with an elegant drop-down roof and a coupé design.
Average observer will not notice the changes, although there are a lot of them: the front end with a new continuous light strip, striking chrome moldings and new air vents at the bottom. The light signature has also been revamped thanks to a unique LED light signature, both front and rear. The difference between the regular Arteon and the Shooting Brak starts at the B-pillar, where the car is completely different and more aggressive than the "fastback" model.
It must be admitted that the Arteon with this kind of rear end is actually one of the nicer station wagons.
Arteon eHybrid – daily needs with electricity only
The Arteon is now available as a plug-in hybrid. And the designers promise that it will be able to transport average daily needs on electricity alone. It is the first vehicle of its kind in its "middle" segment.
Volkswagen engineers also updated it the crowd other little things. Driving assistants have been updated. Thus, the radar cruise control supports speeds of up to 210 km/h. The information system has also been updated, with expanded connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and updated ambient lighting that shines in as many as 30 colors.
The new Arteon Shooting Brake will hit our roads already in the fall.
