Volkswagen Atlas – SUV and a half

The Volkswagen Atlas is an SUV and a half. In fact, it measures five meters in length (!), which makes it currently Volkswagen's largest passenger vehicle. With the 7-seater SUV, the largest European manufacturer is attacking the American, Russian, Chinese and Middle Eastern markets. It will premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Seven-seater Volkswagen Atlas it is the right length, as it measures exactly five meters. It will be available initially in the USA, then in Russia and the Middle East, but when and if it will be available in Europe is not yet known. Comes from of the MQB platform, but it comes from a three-year-old study Crossblue. It is extremely large for European conditions, and in the USA such SUVs represent as much as a tenth of the market.

The Atlas is the biggest Volkswagen right now.

Initially, two power units will be available, namely 2-litre petrol TSi V4, which squeezes out of itself 238 hp (175 kW), and 3.6 liter petrol VR6, which develops 280 hp (206 kW). In both cases, it will transmit power to the wheels 8-speed automatic transmission, and in the more powerful version, you will be able to choose the drive or just the front two or all four wheels (4MOTION).

Cabin Volkswagen Atlas is spacious as a living room. He will take care of the soundscape Fender audio system with a dozen speakers and a 480-watt amplifier.
