At a time when the electric revolution is sweeping the automotive world, Volkswagen is kicking up the dust with a new trump card up its sleeve. Imagine a car that combines the silence of electric power with the wild power of 550 horsepower, all wrapped in a design that takes your breath away. The ID.X Performance is not only a new step in Volkswagen's electric offensive, but also a visionary look at the future of sports electric vehicles. Prepare to be transported to a world where tradition meets innovation and where every ride is an epic adventure.

Volkswagen's the upcoming electric offensive consists of a series of sporty EVs. After introducing the concept of ID. GTI in Munich and the announcement of upgrades for the ID models. Buzz and the ID.3 with the new GTX badge, VW has now introduced a concept entirely dedicated to performance – the ID.X Performance. Based on limousines ID.7, but shares little in common with it visually. The front end is redesigned with a large black grille at the bottom of the bumper and matching vents at each corner. Also added is a carbon fiber diffuser and a red trim that surrounds the entire vehicle. Black plastic trim adorns the wheel covers, which house 20-inch sports wheels with special racing rubber.

The rear is adorned by a huge rear spoiler on the boot lid, with a large carbon fiber diffuser at the bottom of the bumper and the same red trim that runs from the front and sides of the car to the rear. The overall vehicle is 2.4 inches (60 millimeters) lower than the traditional ID.7.

In terms of performance, the ID.X Concept uses the ubiquitous MEB architecture that underpins nearly all modern VW EVs, with two electric motors that together provide 550 horsepower (411 kilowatts). It has the same concept as the ID.7 ID.X Performance the possibility of fast charging with a power of 200 kilowatts.

Of course, there's no confirmation that this concept will ever go into production, but it is VW already confirmed (and announced) a more powerful ID.7 GTX with aggressive accents, improved aerodynamics and hopefully more power. The ID.X Performance concept will be on display at the ID International Motor Show. Treffen in Locarno, Switzerland until September 9.

Volkswagen with the ID.X Performance concept, it not only sets new milestones in the world of electric vehicles, but also promises that the electric future will be anything but boring. Get ready for an electrifying adventure that will get your heart racing!

Some more information about ID.7

Volkswagen ID.7, a flagship electric sedan so advanced you could mistake it for a spaceship. It is available in two versions: Pro and Pro S. Both versions are powered by an electric motor rated at 282 horsepower (210 kilowatts) – enough power to outrun many a spaceship (well, maybe not, but it's certainly impressive!). The Pro version boasts a battery that allows you to drive to the next town for a coffee and come back without even thinking about recharging. While the Pro S, with its larger battery, promises to take you further – maybe even to your mother-in-law if you really have to stop there. And if you thought that was all, you're wrong. The ID.7 is so advanced it can even tell you when you're cold - well, at least if you tell it. Volkswagen really set new standards with the ID.7, and even though it can't fly, it's definitely worth your attention.
