Volkswagen ID.7, scheduled to hit the roads of Europe and China in the fall of 2023 and North America in 2024, is poised to challenge the established players and redefine what it means to drive an electric sedan.
Available in two versions – Pro and Pro S – both models boast a powerful electric motor with power 282 horsepower (210 kW). The Pro equipment has a gross capacity battery 82.0 kWh (77.0 kWh net), providing an estimated WLTP cycle range of 382 miles (615 kilometers). Equipped with 170 kW DC charging, this equipment offers a competitive advantage in charging speeds.
Equipment Pro S this is enhanced by a larger battery with 91.0kWh gross capacity (86.0kWh net) allowing for an incredible estimated 435 miles (700 km) reach. The DC charging capacity in this equipment is also improved and reaches 200 kW.
It measures dimensionally Volkswagen ID.7 at 195.3 inches (4,961 mm) in length and has a 116.8-inch (2,966 mm) wheelbase, putting it in direct competition with the Mercedes-Benz EQE electric sedan. Advanced system Travel Assist ID.7 offers adaptive cruise control, lane change assist and automatic speed limit detection. It also features an innovative climate system, voice control and high-tech seats with up to 14-way electric adjustment, Climatronic function and a massage system with 10 airbags.
Optional panoramic sunroof uses smart glass technology that allows you to switch between opaque and transparent modes via a button or voice control.
The ID.7 will be produced at the Volkswagen factory Emden in Germany for the European and North American markets. The start of production is expected in the second half of the year. No pricing details are available for either region, but the ID.7 is expected to be priced competitively in US dollars and Euros.
