Volkswagen is preparing a real electric offensive for this fall and next spring, during which time it will offer customers as many as five electric or plug-in hybrid models. The story begins with the electric up!, which has a range of 150 km and a price of around 30,000 euros, and will soon be followed by the electric Golf.
Electric hope! we can recognize it on the outside by a lot likeable designed LED daytime running lights, which the designers placed extremely artfully (you could almost say artistically) in the front bumper, which of course is different, and the difference is also the almost full 15-inch alloy wheels. otherwise, there are almost no differences, apart from a few few inscriptions of the version.
A realistic range of around 130 km
The main difference, of course, is "hidden" under the front cover, where it can be found 40 kW electric motor, which develops 210 Nm, but it can produce an additional 20 kW of power for a short period of time, which comes in handy for the driver when accelerating after a rest before traffic lights or on the highway. Although you won't be able to check the top speed it reaches in the cities where it's primary home is (it's highway usable 135 km/h), but even in everyday driving you will be able to witness an exemplary acceleration that lasts somewhere up to a hundred 12 seconds.
Assembly lithium-ion batteries is invisibly stowed away under the trunk and rear seats, and the most important thing is that the batteries did not decrease in volume even a little trunk, which hereby offers same utility, as with the other "civilian" versions of this little guy.

With a single charge, it can overcome distances of up to 150 km. In fact the range is a bit smaller than usual, but it is about 130 km range judging by the first kilometers driven around our capital, completely realistic.
For 300 euros, even pedestrians will hear it coming
Even inside, you will initially see the differences between the electric and other versions, hopefully! can be counted on the fingers of one hand, otherwise they are waiting for the driver slightly different gauges and lever single-stage gearbox, which the driver commands by moving the handle left and right. Otherwise, with the exception of the eco and eco+ buttons on the extension of the center console, the differences are hardly noticeable, all versions of the e-Upa! but they are also practically overflowing with equipment, as it is the most equipped version with some extra treats.
Among the equipment we find: satellite navigation, automatic air conditioning, heated windshield and front seats, tinted rear windows and car-net multimedia system. The latter consists of the central one touch screen, through which the driver receives a lot of useful information for driving as economically as possible, and in the list of additional payments (for around 300 euros) we also find system, which in driving imitates the sound of an engine, with which even passers-by hear that a vehicle is coming.
When charging, just like the competition offers different charging methods; from that one via a home socket, for which around 7 hours will be enough, until hitre charging, where in 30 minutes charge the batteries up to 80 percent. The latter is not yet possible in our country due to insufficient infrastructure and also a special connection. Prices e-Hope! should be with us starting at around 30,000 euros, and on the roads officially seduces already across what kind a month.
